WRSsC Pool gets upgrade club gets $1-million helping hand
On June 29th, we were thrilled beyond words to get a call from our local MP, Peter Braid, informing us that we have been awarded a grant of $1,000,000 from the provincial and federal governments to use towards construction. Alongside the owner of our building, we will be moving forward during the summer months with designing and planning the upgrades to our building and to the pool.
This will be an exciting year as we watch our new and improved facility unfold. At the end of the project it will be our athletes and coaches who will be benefiting from a new lobby, a new lane pool, an additional figure pool and a new dry-land/workout and meeting room area.
